Emergency Notifications and Information Resources

Please sign up for CivicReady alert system here or download the myAlerts app on your smart phone.

All towns on Martha's Vineyard are subscribed to this system which will automatically send you warning notifications of severe weather events (severe storms, tornadoes, etc.) and other potentially dangerous situations in your area. The emergency managers will also use the system to send important local information like Sheltering Info and Road & Beach Closures.

MV Disaster Animal Response Team (MV-DART) was formed in response to a state law passed after Hurricane Katrina which requires towns to have a plan in place to address the evacuation and sheltering needs of household pets and services animals before, during and after an emergency or natural disaster. The organizers of MVDART include Assistant EMDs, a Health Agent, an Animal Control Officer, a veterinarian, and Red Cross volunteers. Contact Information Email: rabrown1950@comcast.net
